Op Love Farewell {Charlotte Family Photographer}

This was a special one.  Dad was headed to Afghanistan for a year, leaving behind his three beautiful children and loving wife.  We met after his deployment ceremony in Rock Hill, two days before he was leaving.  It was so hot outside that we had to shoot in their hotel.  The images are bittersweet - such sadness but also so much love between them. I hope these photographs help make the distance feel a little shorter and the time go a little faster.

This sweet little girl's sad face just broke my heart.

The children are given dolls that have their Daddy's picture on them,
so when they need a hug from Daddy, they have something to hold on to.

  1. These photo's would have been wonderful, if the wife in the pictures had stayed faithful and true to the man leaving his family behind to fight a war. yes I know this family, and know the damage caused by the wife. She waited not even a month after he deployed up and moved the children to another state, to be with her boyfriend, not to mention getting herself addicted to drugs and ultimately getting her children taken away from her. Dad being the good man and father he is, left the war to come and get his children and move them back home, where they are now safe and sound. Beautiful pictures with a very tragic story.
