On Sunday, I spent some time with little Miss Allie, who turned 1 in January.  I had the pleasure of photographing her as a newborn and again right before Easter last year.  It was so much fun to see how she's grown into this walking, talking, adorable little person.  Is she not the cutest?

When Toddlers Attack {365 - Day 107}

Sarah Beth got her Daddy today.  Got him good while he was taking a 2 minute afternoon break. She always goes for the head.  Accompanying her attack are roars and screaming giggles.  She is a very silly monster.

Easy Rider Part 2 {365 - Day 106}

As a follow up to yesterday's post, we took SB out on her first bike ride this morning.  We rode the gravel trails at McAlpine Park.  She had a total blast, as did Mommy and Daddy.  It was the first time I rode my bike since getting pregnant with Sarah Beth, so it was like reconnecting with an old friend to be back in the saddle again.  It's true, you never forget how to ride a bike.  This time, with a cute little copilot.  We saw lots of people, dogs, and even a small herd of deer grazing in the field. 

Kurt took this shot of his biker babes halfway through the ride.  When we were all done, she didn't want to get out.  We can't wait to ride again.

Easy Rider. {365 - Day 105}

What a beautiful day.  It seemed like the whole city of Charlotte was taking advantage of the amazing weather.  We took a walk at the park and then stopped in at Loco Lime for lunch.  De-lish.  There's something luxurious about having Sangria in the middle of the day.  It's like a mini-vacation.

After our decadent lunch, we stopped in at the bike shop to pick up a kiddie seat for Sarah Beth.  While we were there, SB kicked some tires and checked out the selection.

We found a seat which unfortunately didn't fit on Daddy's fancy full suspension bike, so it looks like SB will be Mommy's copilot tomorrow when we hit the open road (well, the dirt trail at the park.)  We did a test ride on the driveway and she thought it was lots of fun.  Hoping she likes it just as much tomorrow and won't want to "get out and walk, Mommy" like she's been known to do with the jogging stroller.  Wish us luck!

Running Bases. {365 - Day 104}

Today is my Dad's birthday.  Sarah Beth adores her Grandpa.  All he has to do is sit in his chair and give her a special look out of the corner of his eye and she is roaring with laughter.  He obliges her by sitting down for tea parties and "eats" his lunch when Sarah Beth prepares him pretend quesadillas or chicken.  He is the best Grandpa around.

In tribute to Grandpa, I thought it would be fun to get a shot of SB on the baseball field, since Grandpa is a big baseball fan.  I told her to stand still so of course she took off running the bases.  Here she is, rounding second.

Hopscotch {365 - Day 103}

We got to the park just as a little girl's birthday party was wrapping up.  Even though we missed the party, they left behind some balloons and a chalk hopscotch game which made Sarah Beth's day.  I am holding her adopted balloon as I take this photo of her figuring out how to hop.  I showed SB how to do it, and I am thankful nobody was around to see the grown woman hopscotch-ing with a balloon, purse, two jackets and a camera in her hands.

Playdate {365 - Day 102}

This afternoon we hopped across the street to deliver some Easter treats to our neighbors and have a playdate in their backyard.  Sarah Beth loves her some Gavin.  It's so funny seeing Gavin be all boy, falling down and rolling around in the grass for a good laugh, while girly Sarah Beth watches him, mildly amused, saying "Gavin's crazy."   I can't wait to see their antics as they get older.  Here they are below, playing on the blanket briefly before running around in circles in the yard.
